Mixed signal or analog circuit design and have an excellent understanding of CMOS, BiCMOS, timing circuits, high speed analog-to-digital converters and digital-to-analog converters. This person will also have experience with multiple chip and design platforms. Excellent oral and written communications. Advanced knowledge of signal integrity issues, clock tree synthesis, clock synchronization, clock and data recovery, clock edge realignment, and data transmission retiming noise, and timing closure techniques.
Hands-on experience with a full project life cycle, from specification development to bench testing. Comprehensive technical knowledge of the design and simulation of timing related analog building blocks PLL’s, DLLs and SERDES is required. Familiarity with mixed-signal design techniques, digital signal processing, and software languages.
This position will entail collaborating with marketing and customers in the definition of new products, feasibility studies, circuit design, SPICE simulation, direction of layout, development of characterization methods and supporting these products throughout their life cycle.
Practical knowledge of the issues related to integrating a high performance mixed signal design. Experience with Cadence tools desirable. Ph.D. /MSEE or /BSEE with related experience.
